You can get discounts on many products some going all the way up to 50% off and they have never been lower than 10% previously. Not all discounts may be huge but if you are already shopping from Tesco, using Clubcard’s discounts would help you out for sure. However, we don’t think it is really a big enough reason to make you switch from another supermarket to Tesco; nonetheless, it will be an advantage anytime you shop from Tesco. Also, it is free to sign up for a Tesco Clubcard, so there is no need to miss this opportunity. The categories which have the highest discounts change every few weeks and you may even want to arrange some costly purchases considering this feature.
Tesco first started running these Clubcard promos in the May of 2020 and it is one of the first major UK supermarkets to offer special discounts to all its loyalty scheme members.
When you are shopping in-store, you recognise the products that have special discounts for Clubcard users by their promotional label; whereas during shopping online, you will see a blue box that shows you the regular price and the reduced Clubcard price which is highlighted.
It is also very easy to use the Tesco Clubcard, as the discounts will automatically be applied after you scan your Clubcard or Clubcard app at the till. Online shopping is no harder than that as well. The discounts will be applied at the checkout stage which you can check from your receipt.
Applying is very easy as well. You may choose to either download the Clubcard app or sign up on the Clubcard site. Without doing anything else, you can start to use your card. As for online shopping, you need to sign up for a tesco.com account and a Clubcard number will automatically be added to your account.
