There are over 100 premium channels to choose from among the 300 satellite channels, which include Sky Atlantic, Sky 1, and the FOX networks, among many others. Sky Signature has replaced the Entertainment bundle and now includes over 500 box sets and extra channels, as well as Netflix. A contract of 18 months is necessary.

Are you paying too much for an outdated Sky TV package?
Sky TV revamped its channel lineup and ambitions earlier this year, barely two years after the previous overhaul. In theory, the adjustments will provide you more freedom while also potentially saving you money.
Existing subscribers were not immediately transferred over to the new suite of channels when they signed up, and they will suffer pricing increases as a result.
Though the most recent modifications aren't that much more expensive (if you pay full price), earlier bundles were significantly pricier. You may be paying at least £32 per month for the Variety bundle or £38 per month for Box Sets — for fewer channels.
So, what are your options? First, let's talk about the distinctions.
Sky Signature and Sky Ultimate are two different types of Sky (2020 onwards)
There are two new television bundles available. The costs listed here are for out-of-contract services, but you'll almost certainly receive a reduction if you convert to a new 18-month contract.
Sky Signature
This package costs £30 (though new customers or those who re-contract will pay less than £5 to begin with – if not more).
It comes with the Box Sets package as standard, which used to cost £5 more per month, albeit you could pick and choose which months you got it.
Sky Ultimate
A Sky Ultimate plan is also available for an additional £6 per month (again there are discounts for new customers). This might be a flexible add-on, or you could be committing to a fresh 18-month commitment.
The basic Netflix membership (which typically costs £5.99 per month) is included in Sky Ultimate. To receive this, you'll need to be a Sky Q subscriber.
Extras
You must pay extra for additional top-ups, but you may choose which ones you want every 31 days.
Sky HD (£6 per month) is a high-definition television service.

Is it worth it to pay for Netflix through Sky?
Many consumers may be tempted to obtain Netflix as part of their bundle and pay for it with their Sky payment. Should you, however, do so?
Personally, I believe that keeping everything separate provides you more control. The Ultimate bundle ties you up for the first 18 months, so you'll have to pay for Netflix even if you're not watching it.
The only exception is if you wish to upgrade your Sky subscription to include HD channels and utilize the mid-level Netflix bundle.
It will cost you an additional £6 per month to sign up for HD channels on Sky. This, together with the Ultimate add-on for Netflix (another £6 per month), brings the total to £12 per month.
However, paying for HD and keeping your mid-tier Netflix separate (an additional £8.99 per month) would result in a monthly cost of roughly £2.99 higher.
Using the Sky Q box or your Sky account, you may link your existing Netflix account to your Sky account.
What should you do if you have an outdated Sky TV package?
To begin, figure out what you're currently paying for and how much it costs. You must obtain a copy of your invoice. It should state clearly the bundle you're on. You're on an outdated package if it says anything other than Signature or Ultimate for your TV.
Then you must determine how much the new bundles will cost you. If you agree to a new 18-month contract, they are likely to offer you a discount.
You should be able to check whether you're being given discounts to convert to Sky Signature or Sky Ultimate on your online account – or even via your Sky box – if you're being offered discounts to go over to Sky Signature or Sky Ultimate.
I think it's also worth asking why you've been overpaying – especially if you've been on an older Variety for the previous several years – before you commit to a new deal, even if it's a lot cheaper.
You should request reimbursement for the money you overpaid. They might not do this, but you could be able to obtain a better deal or get one of the add-ons (like HD) for free for a year instead.
However, it's more important to examine if remaining with Sky is even worthwhile.
Switch to NOW TV instead of Sky
Personally, I believe that canceling Sky TV will result in the most savings.
For the past six years, I have not paid for Sky TV (or Virgin, Talk, or BT TV). That's because Sky offers another service called NOW TV that contains the majority of the channels, including Sky Atlantic and a slew of box sets, and it's far less expensive.
The Entertainment pass costs £8.99 per month. You can really obtain it for cheaper by taking advantage of special offers, and I never spend more than £5 each month.
Even at full price, it costs £21 less each month than the full-price Signature pass — a savings of £252 per year. Even if you can have Signature for less, say, £25 per month, that's still £192 more per year than the same channels with NOW TV. You're also not locked into a 12- or 18-month contract, so you have the option to cancel at any moment.
Passes for Sky Cinema, Sky Kids, and Sky Sports are also available. Kids and Cinema are once again the same or less expensive than going through Sky, and you are also on a 30-day commitment.
Sports, on the other hand, are a different story, and they cost more on NOW TV if you want to watch them at least a few times each week. However, there are day and week passes that are reasonably priced, and there are sometimes discounts on month-long passes in well.
The main distinction between Sky and NOW TV is that this is a streaming service, similar to Netflix or iPlayer. So, you can watch live or on-demand video but not record it. If you wish to record Free view channels (such as BBC, C4, and Five), you can get a good Free view recording box for roughly £125. This should last at least two years (ours is still running strong in its fifth year), which equates to £5.21 per month for 24 months, and then nothing. When you combine it with the NOW TV pass, you're still saving money.
Continue to use Sky – haggle for further discounts
So, if you want to stay with Sky, don't take the first offer. Even if you are provided a discount for switching, you may be able to negotiate more discounts.
Get them on the phone or over live chat and gently tell them you believe it's too much money and ask them to look into it.
While you're at it, inquire whether Sky will offer you a discount on movies, sports channels, or internet access.
If you are no longer under contract with Sky, you might strengthen your case by stating that you are considering quitting. Request to talk with someone from the retentions department. It's worth taking five minutes to look up what other firms are charging.
You'll almost certainly be required to sign a new 18-month contract, so double-check the entire costs before saying yes. Accepting free extras is pointless if you're not going to watch those channels or use those services.
